Infection Control

The government has recently announced that an extra £270 million per year will soon be made available in the NHS to support infection prevention and control and improve cleanliness.

At NCFE we understand how important this issue is and already have a qualification in place that enhances learners’ knowledge of infection control and management and outlines actions that can be taken to restrict the spread of infection.

The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Infection Control is suitable for those who wish to improve their knowledge of infection control and provides an understanding of the laws that surround it.

Judith Layfield, Distance Learning and Franchise Manager at Bishop Auckland College, said: “The NCFE qualification in Infection Control is a valuable qualification which promotes high standards of cleanliness and hygiene and encourages the learner to explore how to avoid infection.

“The qualification is relevant to people in all walks of life and most importantly meets the skill sets of the Sector Skills for Care.”
